The market has spoken. More affordable vehicles that compromise neither form nor function are back on the table. As a result, the sedan, once considered an outdated framework, is back in the mix. Buyers are asking for options that deliver a solid bang for the buck and look good while they do it. Nissan said, “Bring it on, we’ve been running this game since 1982.” Come meet the 2025 Nissan Sentra.

A Familiar Look with Bold New Styling

For the purposes of our review, we tested the SR trim. It rolled up in a creamy blue-gray with a fine metallic shimmer that prettily caught the light. This year’s model arrived dressed in sweeping lines and bolder details.

My eye was drawn across the roof line, past 18-inch wheels finishing at a rear spoiler and chrome exhaust finisher. The lower body line feels sportier and gives off an edgy vibe that takes cues from the GT-R. Around this time, my boys came out the house, and we collectively nodded in appreciation.

I took a peek inside, and the interior is streamlined. It is finished with high-performance fabric embellished with fiery-red accents and does the job neatly. There’s a place for you, even if you have long legs, and a place for your gear with nice trunk space. Sport-inspired but distinctively Nissan, it’s a good look that gets better as you do the walk around.

Easy Power and a Safer Drive

Over the course of the week, we found that the Sentra’s drive feels stable, safe, and secure, perfect for your daily commute or soon-to-be beloved first car. Connectivity was easy, and the drive is enhanced by a stellar suite of driver assistance. The comprehensive package features Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Assist. There’s also an “Intelligent” warning system that dings if the vehicle detects that a potential forward collision or driver inattention.

When I checked the Mulroney in the glove box, I realized that the Sentra’s driver and safety assistance suite is more comprehensive than some of its class competitors and comes standard across the line. It was also a boon that Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto are also granted as a baseline offer. Attention to detail and listening to the buyer requests appears to be worked throughout the trim lineup, despite its gentle pricing structure. It is no wonder that Nissan has sold over 30 million units globally since 1982.

A Good Value Regardless of Trim

Available in 3 trims, S, SV, SR, plus a gorgeously blacked out SR Midnight, the Sentra is a great value that starts at $21,590. Even with the $1,140 destination charge, the whole line up of the Sentra is less than $30k. The brand also adds the extra boost of the Nissan Maintenance Care program that gives buyers up to three oil changes for two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. Buyers that score a Sentra, in at the SV trim and above, also have access to the NissanConnect® Services package. A well-rounded tech added package, it provides ‘MyNISSAN’ app control and a Wi-fi hotspot.
Perfect for the value-conscious buyer on the hunt for a connected ride with easy power, the 2025 Nissan Sentra is worthy of a double take. For more information on the 2025 Nissan Sentra and to schedule your test drive, visit here.
