Disclaimer: My group was given a free game for the purposes of reviewing the experience. As always, my opinions are always my own.
Have you ever been to the Escape Game?
I never had been. My sister had been telling me about it for weeks after she went with her co-workers had for a bonding experience. I had been trying to wrap my mind around the experience and came up short. It was better than I imagined.
Here’s the skinny:
You and your team are given a challenge and then locked in a space with all the clues to solve said challenge. You will get to indulge your inner Sherlock Holmes and solve the problems and escape the room.
It was fantastic.
I went with my brother, sister and her boyfriend to the Grapevine location. We were already excited after touring the website. Our biggest issue was trying to agree on a challenge. We finally settled on The Gold Rush — see the video below. The check-in process was easy and the location has plenty of free parking. We laughed, used our talents and learned a bit more about each other and had an absolute blast in the process.
Thinking back on it, it would be a great group date, family outing for mixed groups of adults and teenagers or even a different sort of girl’s night. Because we loved it so much, we’ve decided to partner with The Escape Game to share the word about it fun.
We came. We saw. We used our clues. We cut it close. We Escaped!!!! Thanks to Bailey for being awesome! Thank you to Taylor, Frank and Trent for y’all’s superior logic skills and for sharing in the fun. I’ve gotta try all the other rooms now– need that gold shirt 😍😍 So much fun!!!
