So my cousin had a birthday on February 18th and what better way to celebrate her birthday than with our families and a little bit of the Hasbro Game Channel with popular games like Monopoly, Risk and Trivial Pursuit. We kept it very casual opting to order food to eat in rather than eating out. Eating out means mac and cheese for the kids at $10 each. With all of the kids and guests it makes for a very comfortable and fun experience.
I got to watch my baby cousin and he is such a pleasure to watch as well as watch the kids play the Hasbro games that we got for the Playstation like Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit.
We tried our hand at Trivial Pursuit from the Hasbro Game Channel. The Hasbro Game Channel is a great way to fine family game entertainment on leading consoles. We have a Playstation. It also features games based on Hasbro’s most popular brands, including MONOPOLY, RISK and TRIVIAL PURSUIT. Starting this fall, the Hasbro Game Channel will be available to download on Xbox One, video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. All games will also be available for download individually on the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
MONOPOLY, RISK and TRIVIAL PURSUIT, are the first three brands and will offer players a brand-new way to experience these classic brands. We tried MONOPOLY Plus and the kids enjoy this game a lot but there seems to be a lot of fighting about who has the next turn.
With TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! this one was a bit harder and for an older audience. Trivia fans can test their wits in this new take on the world’s most well-known trivia game. TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! transforms the classic experience into a TV-show setting with reinvented question formats, customizable game lengths and a variety of game rounds and rules to keep players guessing.
This game is more for adults rather than kids because of the questions that are asked. A lot of the questions we really didn’t know and guessed a lot. So we had a 50% correct rate. Ouch! We did learn things that I never really knew which is a great thing…Knowledge is the power!!!
You get to choose cool looking characters and you earn wedges along the way. There were 5 rounds including the final round. You have chances to bonus if you win your category picked in one of the rounds.
This was a pretty good game if you like those kind of games like jeopardy. We had fun playing and challenging each other to a little trivia. It would be cool if they had a kid version of it, with questions that are age/kid appropriate. The kids tried playing and they were having fun guessing the answers. You do learn from this game which is a great opportunity to exercise the mind and gain knowledge. Overall we had a fun time and it was a fun birthday.
