On Friday, April 14, Eastwood’s Bar in Uptown Dallas will donate 20 percent of all food and drink sales (including all sales from Caroline Kraddick’s signature $5 margarita featuring Tequila Sheela), from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Throughout the day, guests have a chance to meet the Kidd’s Kids staff, including an afternoon performance by Caroline Kraddick, participate in giveaways, enjoy food and drink specials like $5 lunches, and hear tunes from Radio DJs.
Founded in 1991, the Kraddick Foundation, known as Kidd’s Kids, was developed on the premise of making a difference in the lives of children with life-altering and life-threatening medical conditions. Over the years, more than 1,000 children and their families have attended a trip to Disney World, totaling more than 3,750 people.
The Kraddick Foundation covers all expenses and coordinates the entire experience, which includes airfare, hotel, park passes, meals, transportation, spending money, gifts and mementos from the trip.
Today, Kidd Kraddick’s’ daughter Caroline is all grown up and filling her father’s shoes as CEO and Chief Happiness Officer of Kidd’s Kids. Caroline Kraddick has brought her passion and personal vision to the charity by kicking off the next 25 years with the addition of an inaugural teen trip.
This summer, the Foundation will host the first annual Kidd’s Kids Teen Trip to “Give Kids the World Village in Orlando,” from June 3-9. Teens ages 13-18 years old who are diagnosed with a life-threatening condition, and their families, will enjoy an all-expenses-paid vacation to the resort, including three days at Walt Disney World, two days at Universal Orlando and one day at Sea World Orlando.
“We could not have come this far to serve our families without the generosity of our sponsors and friends who donate to Kidd’s Kids,” said Caroline. “I want to personally invite all of North Texas to support the future of Kidd’s Kids and these teens at a special benefit day at Eastwood’s Bar on McKinney where I will also have the pleasure of doing a live performance.”
