One of the best kept secrets for family entertainment is The Perot Museum of Nature and Science and its money-saving Membership. It’s a fantastic center of learning, imagination and interaction for all ages, situated in the heart of Dallas, off of Field St. near Klyde Warren Park and the Dallas Arts District.
We had the pleasure of celebrating the Perot Musuem’s second anniversary, exploring the Winter Wonderland and learning about the new exhibits that they have for children and families. It’s easy, fun, educational and one of the best bets for a great family time in the City. At the Museum, you can use your brain waves to launch ping pong balls, prance up musical stairs, explore with your youngest littles a miniature, climbable version of the Dallas skyline in the Children’s Museum or race a T-Rex in the Sports Hall.
One that the kids thought was especially “cool” was the new 2theXtreme:Math Alive edition exhibition. It is an interactive wonderland. As a former educator, I love the emphasis on math and science. I adored the watching elder two laugh and pose in the 360-degree photo stage, and then learn the science behind some of their favorite activities.
By the time that we had spent three hours at the Museum, it was clear that we would be back and that a Family membership would be a great way to go, especially for families with children. It pays for itself in just one or two visits with free, unlimited admission for a year, special members-only hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings, discounts for parking, in the cafe, Museum shop and for traveling exhibits and reciprocal admission to more than 350 science centers around the country.
Also UNTIL DECEMBER 12, using the code “DALLAS SINGLE MOM”, you can call in to 214-756-5751 to receive 15% off the price for new memberships. Unfortunately, this offer cannot be combined with any other discount.
