Kroger is partnering with Huggies to donate up to 1 million diapers to the National Diaper Network
When Hurricane Harvey hit The Texas Gulf Coast and Houston I made a donation to a local diaper bank that was a part of the National Diaper Network. Now for the first time, Kroger and Huggies are teaming up to help give diapers to families in need across the US. Many readers of Dallas Single Mom need help with just providing diapers so this is a cause near and dear to our hearts. For select packs of Huggies diapers purchased at a Kroger from November 8 to December 5, Kroger and Huggies will donate a day’s worth of diapers (up to 1 MM diapers) to the National Diaper Bank Network, as part of the No Baby Unhugged program.
What is No Baby Unhugged?
The No Baby Unhugged program is a program sponsored by Huggies and through donations from people like you. The program gives grants to hospitals across the country to help babies get the hugs they need in the NICU when their moms and dads may not be able to be there. Many rural hospitals do not have a NICU unit and so parents have to travel to urban areas to visit their babies and some parents can’t make it to see their babies in the NICU.
Huggies is the founding sponsor of the NDBN and has donated more than 200 million diapers and baby wipes, including donations during times of crisis since 2010. To learn more about No Baby Unhugged, visit www.huggies.com/nobabyunhugged.
How big is Diaper Need in the United States?
According to a newly released study by Huggies and the National Diaper Bank Network, Diaper Need and Its Impact on U.S. Families, one-in-three U.S. families (36 percent) are in diaper need, or struggle to provide enough diapers to keep their baby or toddler clean, dry and healthy. By shopping at a local Kroger near you, you can help close this gap.
Kroger knows meals matter and that families struggling to put food on the table are often faced with difficult choices. Thanks to this new partnership with Huggies, Kroger hopes providing a clean, dry diaper can be one less difficult choice for families in need.
