When you are planning on a vacation or a commercial trip, the anxieties are sure to come. That multiplies manifold if you are a single Mom and are going to be accompanied by your kids during the trip. Kids are under your watchful guide all the time and need your attention to the fullest even for small things. Single Moms are accustomed to being great at multi-tasking but kids often add new challenges even to the juggler. If you are going on a vacation, you need to keep in mind that the kids enjoy the trip to the fullest and if you are leaving for a business trip, the kids should be provided all that they could need so that you can carry on with your work perfectly. Planning and that too with attention to detail is what you need. There are 3 ways to make that trip you have in mind for days in advance truly hassle free.
Make the wholesome kid care plan:
Kids are very demanding and dependent on you to take care of those demands. Plan to get an accommodation that’s suitable for children. Hotels that are nice and spacious are what you should target so that kids can indulge themselves in playing. A boxed up room won’t do. Secondly, make sure that they eat right. A kid gone sick during a trip is the worst nightmare. No binge eating and junk food should be avoided as much as possible.
Dig out some dirt:
You should be well versed with the place you are about to visit. If you can’t find someone to give you that much needed info, then start reading stuff of the internet to get accustomed to the country or if it’s in the same country then gather knowledge on the city you are going to say in for a prolonged period in the stay. Learn the norms and then apply them wherever you go so that they get more out of the hospitality than intended. Basic vernacular should be learnt to make it easier to communicate with people, even if you are staying in some other place in your own country, the language might be the same but every place has its own lexicon and accents. Try to neutralize some of the alienation by taking a head start into the place you need to visit, their location, the easiest way to commute from one place to another and most importantly keep cash currency with you always in hand tolike theft or sudden illnesses.
Count yourself in the Picture too:
What most single Moms often do is to completely forget about themselves in the midst of all that planning for tickets, making reservations for accommodation, pack baby food among a whole lot of other detailing. If you are not comfortable yourself, then you will not be able to take care of your children during the trip as well. One of the first things to keep in mind is to pack suitable and more importantly comfortable clothing. But just don’t go with comfort, assure that the clothes are hip and trendy as well to keep your self-esteem high and confidence high. Denim pants and some cool tops to go with it are a perfect match to increase your mobility and make yourself look beautiful. Keep your medication, if you are in need of them, with you at all times. A downed mom translates into a downed family. Your health should be your top priority during the trip. The last but not any less important is the time you should plan only for yourself during the trip. Make arrangements for kids to stay for some time with all the provisions they need and arrange for a babysitter if your kids are young. Go to the spa, get a foot massage, go and some clubbing as well if you like it. After all, you should keep treating yourself well because you are important too. Moms are great and single moms are even better. Don’t feel guilty about it, you are doing one great job raising those kids on your own, you deserve all the comforts that you are getting.
