I first discovered Audible when I was commuting back and forth between Wichita Falls and Mesquite. Pre-children, I was working in the district office of my Congressional Representative when I found myself spending more and more time in the Dallas area. As a result, that meant that I spent many a morning trekking up 287 in the wee hours of the morning only to arrive in the Falls two and a half hours later. The lean, quiet roads of North Texas were a lonesome affair that taught me the power of prayer and the value of the written and spoken word. I developed a deep appreciation for the sunrise and the masterful colors of the Lord’s paintbrush. I learned to love the sound of good story to read to me and firmly established my love of a good, hot coffee. I learned the value of sanctuary, a captivating story and that every, absolutely every situation is “figure-out-able”. I also learned the value of a really good story.
Since then some time has passed and I listen to my audiobooks from an app rather than on CDS and I devour them, especially while traipsing from place to place, washing dishes or while knitting my latest project. Recently when I logged into the Audible site, I saw something new… The Audible Romance Package.
What I love is that for $6.99 extra a month, you can listen to as many books from the romance collection as you can enjoy. It has so many of my favorites from Eloisa James, Nora Roberts, Angeline Fortin, Karen White and so many others. You can choose by category, storyline or by steaminess level. There are literally thousands to choose from… all for your listening pleasure.
