Happy New Year! It’s Time to Complete and File Your FAFSA.
Most college based financial aid is distributed on a first come, first served basis. College deadlines begin as early as the 15th of this month. Just because the FAFSA states that you should file your taxes before submitting the form doesn’t mean you have to wait. You can file now based on estimates, then update the form with accurate numbers after you’ve filed your tax return. Don’t delay, file as soon as possible. And if you don’t think you’ll qualify for need based aid, file anyway. Merit aid is always a possibility.
If you’re uncertain about the process and need help with your financial aid forms, appeals, special circumstance letters and verification forms, give us a call at 800-898-4636 to see how RSC can help you.
