Recently I had the pleasure of test driving the 2018 Nissan Rogue SL AWD with Pro-Pilot Assist for A Girl’s Guide to Cars.
I had first seen it at the Dallas Auto Show, so I was super excited to get to try it out in person. Right out of the gate, you notice the rather gorgeous paint colors, sleek lines and polished details. Step inside and buttery leather, updated trims and a large navigation/connectivity screen greet you. It’s a gorgeous ride with cool safety tech, updated lush interiors and a stellar connectivity system.
We drove for a week, and I put the car through it’s paces. It was a busy week on this end so this was the perfect time to drive. Between dropping kids at two schools, doctor appointments, social events, a board meeting, a city neighborhood meeting, two photoshoots and an unexpected detour to visit a historic site in Texas weather, I got to see the car function in real life.
Pro-Pilot Assist is the semi-autonomous driver assist tool from Nissan. It allows the car to course correct and help the driver out if need be, but only if both hands are on the steering wheel and if you have activated the system. It’s super easy. Read the guide or watch the video before you start and give it a try. You can turn it on with your thumbs and it’s a dream. I tried it out first on the way to visit my Papa at his skilled nursing facility a couple of towns over. I chat more about it in my article at A Girls Guide to Cars. Let’s just say, I am a convert. That with the cool factor, upgraded style of the Rogue and really stellar Safety system, the 2018 Nissan Rogue is definitely a family favorite.
In my article at A Girls Guide, I chat about who this car would be ideal for, do a price break down and share my Spotify playlist of all the fun tunes that my family jammed out to while in the car from Ray LaMontague, the Little Mermaid and of course, Incubus’ Drive.

Thank you to Nissan for arranging this test drive and to A Girl’s Guide to Cars for Commissioning the Original Story.
