One of the glorious things about Dallas is its philanthropic community and the group that turned out for the surprisingly brisk day at The Star at Frisco was no surprise. For the last twelve years, the Dallas Cowboys have a partnered with the North Texas Food Bank to bring awareness and drive community engagement for a worthy cause of ending hunger and helping meet the hunger needs of children and families across North Texas. In a record setting night, guests raised more than $530,000 and enabled more than 1.5 million meals to be provided across the service areas of the North Texas Food Bank.
I enjoyed this event with my sister and fellow journalist Taylor. Some of Dallas-Fort Worth’s most delicious restaurants participated in the luxe tailgate adventure at the Star in Frisco including Nick & Sam’s, Cane Rosso, Lockhart’s Smokehouse and so many others. I had some favorites — the shrimp and grits from Tupelo Honey were amazing and found new favorite haunts that I can’t wait to try. There’s a complete list of presenting restaurants below and check out pictures from the event.
