I made a resolution with myself to share more of what I love and share what makes me smile, touches my heart, captures my fancy and occupies my time. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my binge watching fancies. This time, I will share of my new found fancy… Knightfall on History Channel. Directed by Dominic Minghella and Jeremy Renner of Marvel fame, this lush, scripted series is my current fave.
Knightfall is an epic film style drama on History Channel that tells the tale of the Templars, The Holy Grail in France. It’s a fictional tale that’s set in a real time with real historical figures and a story that feels timely, captivating and fascinating. It’s beautifully shot and well acted. The settings are detailed, realistic and full of details that beg to be researched and explored in further detail.
It’s a fabulous show to watch with a nice cheese tray, glass of wine or bowl of popcorn and something cold. Granted, I’m only on episode 5, which comes on tonight, but don’t miss the absolutely gorgeous Tom Cullen as the Templar Master Landry, the captivating quest for the Holy Grail and the legacy quest that we are currently on. Jim Carter as the Pope is rather magnificent and Olivia Ross as Queen Joan is superbly cast.
Watch with me on History Channel, Wednesdays at 9pm CST.
