Acura Debuts Their First Electric Vehicle at Monterey Car Week

Acura Debuts Their First Electric Vehicle at Monterey Car Week
Making its global debut during Monterey Car Week, Acura presented to the world the brand's first all-electric SUV, the ZDX.

ABOUT THE DESIGN

Coming to market early 2024, the ZDX is a long-awaited step into the electrification from the luxury leaning, performance driven arm of the American Honda Company.  Designed in California at the Acura Design Studio, the ZDX will bring another glimpse of the Precision EV Concept from the LA-based design house.  Featuring bold new color options like Double Apex Blue Pearl, striking swooped lines, muscular stance and a lean usage of space, the ZDX makes good use of the brand's hallmark design touch points including the iconic front fascia and distinctive diamond patterning that is echoed through the headlights and detailed stitching.  Dave Marek, Acura's Executive Creative Director notes that "embracing that creative liberation (that EVs offer), our team was energized designing ZDX, Acura’s new modern expression of performance."

ABOUT THE OPTIONS

Available in the A-Spec as a single-motor RWD and a dual-motor AWD starting at $60,000 and with a range of about 325 miles or as a teched-up and powerful Type-S edition launching at $70,000 with the first clients expected to take delivery early next year. Both trims of the ZDX will feature Acura's first built-in Google integration, a new digital cockpit that will span 22-inches between the digital cluster and the touchscreen center information center.  Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible like the other members of the Acura family, the fully-electric ZDX will also feature a 18-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system and enhanced safety suite through the new standard AcuraWatch system.

A NEW AGE OF ACURA

EXCITING TIMES

The enhanced safety system will also support the driver as the ZDX Type S will introduce the first hands-free driving system from Acura that is set to be compatible with more than 400,000 miles of road across North America. Emile Korkor, Assistant Vice President of Acura National Sales says that "The arrival of the new ZDX is an exciting moment for the Acura brand. It signals our transition to a zero-emissions future and demonstrates our commitment to Precision Crafted Performance in the electrified era.”

A NEW WAY TO BUY

All sales for the new ZDX will be handled through the new digital sales platform that will allow buyers to shop from home or through a dealership, after registering their interest at https://www.acura.com/EarlyAccessZDX
