Parents and school-aged children with autism will have a unique opportunity to shop for back-to-school clothing and gear on Sunday, August 14 at JCPenney. For two hours before the store opens to the public, JCPenney will create a sensory-friendly shopping environment that will have modified sound and lighting levels, along with dedicated staff to assist customers with all their back-to-school needs, such as backpacks, denim, school uniforms, shoes and more.
It is estimated that one in every 150 American children live on the autism spectrum. We appreciate your support in promoting this event, so affected Dallas area children and their families can benefit from a unique experience that takes their shopping needs into consideration.
