What Little Girl doesn’t want to pretend to be a princess for a day and get her own spa day?
If you spent the whole day splashing around water, sliding down water slides and playing arcade games at Great Wolf Lodge then you probably need some downtime to relax and get Sprinkled. Scooops is a Kid Spa at Great Wolf Lodge resort. You can find them at all the Great Wolf Lodge properties and it seems to be a signature part of your stay (at an extra charge) for your little girl – and mommy too. Your little princess can get treated like one with a spa made just for her. As a mom I am a little jealous that I can’t get a tiara and sash when I go to the spa but at Scooops, Moms that join in with their daughter for a Mommy and Me Pedicure can also get their very own tiara and sash as well. The Mommy and Me Pedicure is perfect for Mother’s Day. You don’t have to be a guest staying at the resort to get a kid spa day in, make an appointment and come right in.
Kid Spa Fun and all the Fixings
Scooops offers an array of services and a gift shop full of scrubs, lotions, scented hairbrushes and so much more. Their full range of spa services include ice cream themed manicures, pedicures, nail toppings and a chocolate facial. You can go ala carte or get an entire package. I think my daughter’s favorite part was getting SPRINKLED. So what is “Sprinkled?” Well getting sprinkled offers the ultimate in luxury and is an extra charge at just $9.99 as of the date of this post. You get a take-home tiara and sash, a signature ice cream flavored lotion sampling, hair scent and lip gloss application. At first my 6 year old seemed just a little bit overwhelmed by all the attention and pampering but as soon as she got her pedicure she was excited.
Tips and advice for making the most of your kid spa day
Book in advance. Time slots are limited so I would suggest you book in advance especially during busy times. Another suggestion I have is that if your child has sensitive skin inquire about that since they have a lot of scented lotions that are included in some packages. Book an appointment in the afternoon so that your child’s manicure or pedicure continues to be camera ready. I really enjoyed the array of items in the store and the services – everything smelled so sweet and the decor of the place really fits the overall theme. The robes are pink and the kids loved being wrapped around in fluffy goodness. I would like to see them get a new set of robes to be bright and pink like the ones in the picture. I would definitely buy a robe for my child as I think a robe is great to use by the pool as well. It does get pricey and you have the convenience of charging everything to the room or on your own credit card. Gratuities are not included. My daughters got to keep the bottle of nail polish color that they used.
Prices for a manicure start at $44.99 and for pedicures they start at $49.99 – additional services cost extra, They may run specials but you must call them to find out.
Where can you find the SCOOOPS Kid Spa
They are located at all Great Wolf Lodge resort. They are available for guests at an extra charge but also available for locals and visitors that just want an appointment. You don’t have to be staying at the hotel to get an appointment.
After a day at the spa you can enjoy the arcade or a wide variety of other great shopping and dining activities at Great Wolf Lodge.
