This is my event recap of the JCPenney demos that I did bringing their Pinterest Boards to life. I’d like to thank JCPenney for the partnership and giving me the opportunity to emcee and providing me with awesome fashions for the event.
Last weekend I had the fun, honor and pleasure of partnering with JCPenney at the Parks Mall in Arlington. Ten malls across the country were a part of this very special event for my Pinterest loving moms! I have emceed events before and I was excited to be able to emcee this special event completely devoted to making moms feel special for Mother’s Day. Below the Food Court on the first floor at the Parks Mall in Arlington was a 10′-by-9′-by-2′ digital board that showcased apparel, beauty and hair inspiration. JC Penney also operates Sephora shops and salons within its stores.
Three associates from the local JCPenney store modeled a myriad of spring fashions from brands like a.n.a, Worthington and Liz Claiborne. Desiree, Tiffany, and Jessica have never modeled before so I felt really special helping these ladies make their modeling debut. Along with modeling the latest spring fashions were stylists from the salon at JCPenney showing off spring hair trends and makeup artists from Sephora Inside JCPenney demonstrating spring lip stain styles and the everyday eyeshadow.
In an earlier post I had some of my favorite JCPenney fashions that I put together. Many of the fashion trends available included bright colors like hot pink and orange from the Worthington line. Among the styles that the models showed off were handkerchief dresses, crochet tops and denim – can’t go wrong with denim. These fashions can easily be thrown into the washing machine and don’t require dry cleaning. MThisall attendees that stopped by the event were treated to a 30 minute demonstration of fashion, makeup and hair as well as free mini makeovers with the stylists on site. It was a very busy day at the Parks at Arlington as mall traffic scooped up JCPenney giveaway items after they signed up for JCPenney Rewards and followed JCPenney on Pinterest.
I really enjoyed this experience and I even lost my voice a little but had a blast with the wonderful individuals from JCPenney. I really learned a lot and many of you showed up and new fans alike. This weekend, Mama Challenge is at Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday April 30 and noon to 6 pm on Sunday May 1, 2016 so if you missed it you have another chance to get gift ideas for moms on Mother’s Day.
