I challenged myself to come up with a list of great places to propose marriage to your future wife or husband in the Dallas-Fort Wort Worth area. I posted this list on my personal Facebook page and everyone seemed to have different opinions on the subject. There were some who didn’t like the list at all and others who had their marriage proposal at one of these locations. The most popular one would have to be at a Texas Rangers game.
I often wonder to myself how I would want to be proposed to. My first two marriage proposals did not have such a romantic sentiment and that’s ok. There’s a lot of us who just feel it’s the right time to be married. Considering my reluctance to enter into a relationship again, I know that if marriage does come up, I’m sure my future spouse to be will have a few tricks up his sleeve and really surprise me.
Do you know there is a day devoted to marriage proposals? It’s always the Sunday prior to Valentine’s Day and this past year of 2015, Propose Day was February 8. Reunion tower which is located at 300 Reunion Boulevard East in Dallas is a magnificent place to visit & do your marriage proposal. The tower is 171 meters in height and there is an amazing view up there. I wrote about Reunion Tower for Etihad Airways and provided some awesome photos as well. This place is an icon for the Dallas skyline. From Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant called 360, you can have a delicious meal and spend some quality time with your loved on. You can opt for a proposal at the restaurant or head out to the GeO-Deck and do it. The GeO-Deck has a great view of the city and you will be proposing somewhere way above the ground which makes your proposal a unique experience. The panoramic views of the Dallas skyline make it all worth it. It does get a little chilly up there so hug your sweetie tighter.
2) Texas Rangers Game at
If you want to do your proposal in a place where you can feel lots of energy, head over to the home of the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park. One of the more popular places to propose among my friends. If you’d like to do a scoreboard proposal you can via a scoreboard message. So you can propose while you are watching the game or after enjoying the game you can check out an appropriate place & propose.
Do you like to go to historical places? Check out many scenic vantage points at the Stockyards at 131E Exchange Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76106. The famous Fort Worth Stockyards district is a beautiful place where you can do the proposal or you can have a lovely carriage ride around the Stockyards and do the proposal there. I think if you can manage a proposal by the train via the vintage Grapevine Railroad, it would make a for a great way to propose.
The NYLO hotel is in the South side of Dallas & it has a great view of the city. This will be a great place to propose. There is an awesome pool which has a beautiful view especially at night & you can have some delicious food, stay a couple of days, and enjoy the surroundings.
5) Starlight Flight – via an airplane
This will be a great way to do your proposal. Starlight flight is a company where you can get airplane tours. The good news is they do marriage proposal flights. They say that they have hosted over 150 successful marriage proposals at the moment. You can get help from them to do your proposal gorgeously & make it a memorable experience. You can fly over downtown Dallas, At&T stadium & many interesting places according to your chosen package.
Klyde Warren Park is situated on 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway Dallas, TX 75201. If you prefer a close to nature kind of environment that is still within the city you can do your proposal here. This park will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and at night it has a beautiful view. You can choose a beautiful place to do your proposal. If you can decorate a small place with some personalized touches, your proposal will be more beautiful. I wrote about Klyde Warren Park on one of my dates. I find Klyde Warren Park to be one of my favorite romantic destinations. At night the walkways light up and you are surrounded by the lights and the reflections of the tall buildings. For me personally I would love to dance with my partner barefoot under those lighted trees – but that’s just me. Below is Jane’s Lane – my favorite arches in Dallas.
I’ve done brunch and lunch at this hotel and I would have to say that this hotel has an old fashioned feel to it in terms of the architecture and the gardens. I consider this place one of the top romantic restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth. Sit fireside if you choose to dine by the Veranda or inside surrounded by artwork and celadon drapery. The style is contemporary American with French influence.
8) Omni Hotels
Dallas-Fort Worth has the luxury of an Omni hotel in Dallas, Las Colinas and Fort Worth. With impeccable service and dining you can create a fantastic proposal that your loved one is sure to enjoy. Whether you love Dallas or you are partial to Fort Worth both hotels offer many amenities and are steps from the city’s nightlife.
At Sunset overlooking White Rock Lake. When the weather is good, residents enjoy picnics on the lawn with live music. If you manage to get here close to the late afternoon you get a nice view of the sun shimmering on the White Rock Lake and sailboats gliding along the water. Have a picnic among the manicured gardens and flowers and propose to your special lady here. This place also has a lot of weddings and bridal portraits done here to celebrate it’s stunning beauty.
Are you looking for one of Dallas’ hippest themed hotels? With themed rooms and suites that allow you to cater to your wild side, a marriage proposal here is anything but ordinary. Kind of sounds like my style. They typically have suite packages that include breakfast and other specials. Hang out by the hotel bar and invite a group of your closest friends as you decide to propose poolside.
I remember reading about how Maroon 5 filmed their video for the song “Sugar” and the faces on the brides and grooms are just absolutely priceless. One of my favorite videos and I’m sure you have probably seen it or like it as well.
I know a wedding proposal expert out of Fort Worth called The Romance CEO. Just in case you need a little extra help.
So how did your significant other propose to you? What location would be a great place for a proposal?
