The seasons are changing, and in Texas’ case, the seasons change all the time, when means that we must adapt our dressing to suit the season and our comfort level. Enter Dickies, best known for workwear — sneaky contender for everyday wardrobe winners that are easy on my wallet.
Comfort and durability are at a premium these days, and recently, I had the pleasure of trying some pieces from Dickies that have integrated into my existing wardrobe with ease. You may have seen them on IG stories as they get regular rotation, and they are ones that even my daughter loves and has co-opted as her own. #momlife.
Founded in 1967, the brand is known for pieces that will stand the test of time, are easy care and survive whatever terrain, you find yourself in. This one is dedicated to the ones that need pieces that look good without a lot of effort.
Here are my favorites:
The Women’s Cropped Cargo Pants
These are workhorses. They look good on me, my sister and my daughter. They come in a variety of neutral and fun bright modern shades (I love the olive green for a deep neutral) that dress up and down with a simple change of accessories. The waist is a tiny bit snatched, and the cropped length is fun and comfortable. Also, I adore that these have the wardrobe all-star pockets that make life so much easier.
The Women’s Florala Coveralls
One and done dressing on point. I love a great jumpsuit. They are great for packing and looking put together in a snap. I also adore machine washable. These Florala Coveralls combine all of that. Cool denim twill that gives room for breathability and still provides a pretty shape. This one comes in black and a rust-colored gingerbread. Also, don’t miss the super cute, bib coverall dress that only needs a pair of kicks and a tee.
The Quilted Bomber Jacket
Need a layer to throw on quickly and when the weather actually turns cool. The quilted bomber is lined and water-repellant, which makes comfort a breeze.
