Kids Cooking Class at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 205 North Park Center
Let the kids gain some valuable skills at this awesome workshop where they will learn to make lasagna. This is part of a series of cooking classes, and if they complete eight, they will get their very own chef coat. The admission includes the cooking class, lunch buffet, and ice cream sundae bar. Festival of Joy at Klyde Warren Park, 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway
This Festival of Joy invites everybody to celebrate Indian culture. There is free admission, and there will be awesome live music as well and performances. You’ll get to try traditional Indian food, children can play games and take part in activities. With free photo booths, meditation zones and yoga in the park, there’s a lot to enjoy at this event. GetKidzFit Fest 2019 at Centennial Building at Fair Park, 1001 Washington Street
This free event focuses on fighting childhood obesity in an interactive, fun way for children. There will be inviting activities, lessons on nutrition, inflatable obstacle courses, demonstrations, live entertainment, and the chance to win prizes. Everybody leaves with a full bag of fresh produce!
Food Truck Rally 2019 at Klyde Warren Park, 1012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway
Food truck rallies are great because you’re able to try a variety of food, which is especially good if you happen to have picky eaters in the family. This rally lasts all day long from noon to 8PM, and it will include different contests, activities, games, and entertainment in the form of live music.
