Once the World’s Most Beautiful Little Girl, Thylane Blondeau Is Now Engaged

Thylane Blondeau has come a long way since she first captured the world’s attention as a wide-eyed child in a fashion magazine spread. The 24-year-old French model, who gained international fame after being dubbed the world’s most beautiful little girl, recently shared some deeply personal news with her millions of followers: she is engaged. The announcement came via Instagram, where she appeared radiant and smiling, her hand prominently displaying a striking engagement ring. Her partner is French actor Benjamin Attal, with whom she has been in a relationship since 2022.

The proposal itself was nothing short of cinematic. The couple was vacationing in Greece when Attal popped the question at a table scattered with rose petals along the water’s edge. Their beloved Pomeranian was even present for the moment, making the scene feel all the more intimate and personal. Blondeau confirmed the news with a caption that was simple yet deeply felt: “I said yes to my best friend. Forever.” The post quickly flooded with congratulations from fans and close friends alike.

Among the warmest responses came from makeup artist Andreea Ali, who wrote “Oh my God!!! This is huge news,” a comment Blondeau personally took the time to respond to. Artist Palome Bonnie Le Friant added her own heartfelt words: “No way, Thyyy! Congratulations, sis.” The outpouring of love from the people in her inner circle painted a picture of a woman deeply cherished by those around her.

Perhaps the most moving reaction came from Blondeau’s mother, television presenter Veronika Loubry, who wrote an emotional tribute on social media. “Life has not been easy on me lately, but today, seeing you engaged to the most wonderful future son-in-law, I feel like a ray of sunshine is finally breaking through the clouds,” Loubry shared. She also added a tender note referencing someone named Gégé, expressing that he must be incredibly proud of his daughter. Her aunt, Karine Le Marchand, was equally effusive: “Bravo, Thylane, for recognizing this gem you so deserve. Aunt Kaka is overjoyed for you both.”

Blondeau’s path to this moment has been anything but ordinary. She first appeared on the cover of Vogue Enfants at just six years old in 2006, an appearance that made her an instant global sensation. TC Candler’s annual rankings awarded her the title of the world’s most beautiful girl that year, a distinction she would reclaim again in 2018. Today she is represented by the prestigious modeling agency IMG Models and has also carved out a space for herself as an entrepreneur, founding Enalyht, her own hair care brand for which she serves as both founder and creative director.

Despite spending virtually her entire life in the public eye, Blondeau has not been immune to the invasive commentary that comes with internet fame. After appearing at the Miu Miu show during Paris Fashion Week last year, some social media users questioned whether she had altered her lips. She addressed the speculation directly in a post that has since expired: “I know that in today’s generation people start procedures early, but I have never touched anything on myself. You can look at my childhood photos; nothing has changed. People love to compare and make things up, but wearing makeup or using a lip liner does not mean I have had surgery on my lips or face. At some point we have to stop.” Her response was measured and firm, a reflection of someone who has learned to hold her ground in the face of relentless scrutiny.

Thylane Blondeau’s engagement marks a new chapter in a life that has always been lived very publicly. From a toddler gracing glossy magazine covers to a young woman building a career and a life entirely on her own terms, she has grown into someone who seems entirely at ease with who she is.

The TC Candler “100 Most Beautiful Faces” list, which helped catapult Blondeau to fame, has been published annually since 1990 and draws millions of votes from fans around the world, with past honorees including some of Hollywood’s biggest names. Pomeranians, the fluffy breed that attended the couple’s engagement moment in Greece, were famously favorites of European royalty for centuries and were even owned by Queen Victoria, who is credited with popularizing the miniature version of the breed. France has produced a surprisingly high number of internationally recognized child models who went on to build major adult careers, with Blondeau widely considered the most prominent example of that trajectory in the modern era.
