The Hilton Anatole is one of the premier hotel and resort experiences in Dallas-Fort Worth. It’s two towers and array of buildings and property make up the landscape along the I-35 Stemmons freeway in spectacular fashion in Dallas’ design and hospital district. What sets apart the Hilton Anatole from many other resorts in the DFW area is their attention to detail and many different types of customer target markets. I was ecstatic to have my family (including Dallas Single Dad) to enjoy many of the amenities of the resort during the holiday season again. Last year we attended their Sparkle! event and so while the attractions have scaled down this year (Hey they are building an awesome lazy river and water park experience next summer) there’s still time to purchase Breakfast with Santa Tickets and many other great Christmas attractions and holiday packages. You can celebrate with breakfast with the big guy himself up until Wednesday December 23rd. Then he has to go back to the North Pole to begin his Christmas deliveries. So here are just a few of the things you can expect when you book a Breakfast with Santa weekend package and get an awesome breakfast:
Upon check in you get the option to explore the resort. They have a ton of beautiful Christmas decorations and photo opportunities. Thrillist ranked them #12 as part of the top 20 most Instagrammed places in Dallas. With their impressive array of art (especially Asian art) you will not be disappointed. You can also dine at their many restaurants, especially SER. There is also a holiday movie night with the kids.
The next day is Breakfast with Santa which includes an abundant breakfast buffet with made to order pancakes and omelettes. Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elf helper mingle among the tables for photo opportunities. Then they have a story after breakfast for the kids.
You can then unleash your kids for amusement with a scavenger hunt to get face painting, decorate a cookie, write a letter to troops overseas, make ornaments, and a frame. Lots of activities that the kids will enjoy.
Last but not least you can check out marionette puppets by heading over to see Gepettos’ Theater. This is such a unique experience for kids and one that I highly recommend. I think the younger set would enjoy it more than older ones but as an adult if you have a fascination with how the puppets are made it really brings imagination to life. This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland where kids take a whirlwind journey to the North Pole in Geppetto’s Marrionette Theater’s holiday show, featuring a cast of over 60 hand-carved marionettes. Meet the Winter Wizard, the North Pole dancing elves, the magic toys of Santa’s workshop and a whole host of other holiday favorites, including Rudolph and Frosty. This show is available until January 3rd and you purchase tickets separately. Tickets range in price from $16 to $22 but you can get discounts at Goldstar Events for half the price plus fees. Avoid the long lines and get photos with Santa here as well from 11 am to 1:30 PM after the breakfast and fun. Photos available for purchase and not included in packaging.
If you are looking for a getaway with a lot of activities for a great value, I think this is it. Room rate packages are available until 12/22 where they are $179 to $199. That’s a very good deal considering the Breakfast at Neiman Marcus I went to was $50 per person (regardless of age) and included a sit down breakfast and entertainment. For myself and my two littles that was $150 and that doesn’t include tax or gratuity. If you just want to purchase Breakfast tickets and still get to participate in the scavenger hunt and get free parking the pricing is $38.95 for adults and $18.95 for kids 4 – 12.
