Luxe Details Combine with Family-Friendly Features to Bring Real-World Comfort in the Redesigned 2026 QX60
If you’re looking for a family SUV that feels like a thoughtfully designed luxury home on wheels, the 2026 Infiniti QX60 and the first ever QX60 SPORT are sure to make you smile. After spending some time with it on the delightful streets of Nashville and here at home in Dallas, it’s clear this SUV is designed with families at heart—perfect for everything from daily drop-offs to fun weekend escapes.
Spacious and Versatile Interior

Step inside the QX60 and the elevated details welcome you in. You’ll immediately notice how everyone, big or small, has plenty of space to stretch out and relax. You’ll also notice the ripple stitching inspired by the graceful folds on a kimono and the lovely hand feel of the fabric on the interior. It’s made of mostly recycled textiles, but feels softer and richer than most vegan leather. With its three roomy rows, there’s seating for up to seven, and even the third row is comfortable enough for adults or growing teens. The second-row seats can slide and recline, making it a breeze to get your short people in and out or make space to adjust for booster seats and car seats.
When it comes to hauling stuff—whether it’s soccer gear, groceries, or the abundance of luggage that comes on a family trip— QX60 makes it easy. The power-folding third row and split-folding second row frees up space, making for lots of options, so you’re always ready for whatever the day brings – even it means finding space for your latest DIY haul.
Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance Technologies

Peace of mind is so important for families, and the QX60 seamlessly delivers. Of course, it is equipped with INFINITI’s standard safety features like automatic emergency braking, blind spot intervention, and rear cross-traffic alert. These are must-haves that help everyone feel protected, whether you’re driving across town or out to the country to visit your siblings. But the real game changer is the ProPILOT Assist 2.1. We fell in love with it in the QX80 and now it works so well in this generation of the QX60. It makes long drives or busy traffic-filled commutes more relaxing and less stressful. It’s also helpful to that note that if you are hauling your favorite toy trailer, the balancing and controlling Trailer Sway software is available and you get about 6,000lbs of towing capacity in the Autograph trim.
Comfort and Convenience for All

Keeping everyone comfortably cozy and happy with easy access to connectivity features is a prime directive in the QX60. I loved that the ease and comfort is available for each row of passengers – not just for the driver level riders. You’ll find soft, premium materials everywhere you look, plus handy conveniences like tri-zone climate control and heated seats for both the front and second rows. USB ports and wireless charging pads are scattered thoughtfully throughout the cabin, so everyone can keep their phones and tablets charged up for the ride.

And with the panoramic moonroof, sunlight pours in, highlighting the nods to the brand’s Japanese heritage and elevated details. The overall vibe is bright, luxurious and cheerful.

The vehicle invites you to stay a little longer and enjoy the moment. We found ourselves looking for reasons to drive and discovered several perfect scenic routes around Nashville that reminded me that Tennessee is outright gorgeous and back home it simply brightening up the everyday school drop off lap with anticipatory design.
User-Friendly Technology and Entertainment
Infotainment is easy and fun in the QX60. The large touchscreen is simple to use, has memory features to keep your favorites close to hand. I also liked the native navigation for local use as well – it’s clean, simple-to-use and intuitively designed – that being said it is very nice to have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available. Setting them up was super easy and they did work seamlessly with all of our favorite devices.

My favorite playlist and audiobooks looked clear on the screen and that paired with the stellar sound system by Klipsch (available in the Luxe and Autograph) is fantastic. Also beautifully done is the Individual Audio tech. Basically, its personal speakers embedded in the headrest that lets driver-related sound like navigation and personal calls filter directly to you while the rest of passengers simply go on with their entertainment.
Performance Tailored for City and Suburban Life

During our time driving in Nashville, I first tested the QX60’s 3.5-liter V6 engine. It proved smooth, powerful and pleasantly quiet. It had enough gumption to navigate—exactly what you want for family trips. The comfortable suspension soaks up bumps, and the available all-wheel drive gives you confidence in all kinds of weather, whether you’re exploring city neighborhoods or hitting the open road.
