Why I like it?
BubbleBum is the perfect solution for car rides and fly ins with car rentals. It is also an ideal solution for when you are riding in a taxi or on a train. I have found that the BubbleBum was very easy to inflate and deflate fitting into a suitcase. It would also fit into a handcarry bag, however I would probably be utilizing the hand carry for electronics, books, flashcards and games rather than take up space with this seat.
You cannot use this in an airplane seat. I just wanted to add this if you plan on traveling via airplane. The Bubblebum cannot be used on an airplane because airplanes don’t have a shoulder belt. This seat is suitable ONLY for use with a 3-point adult seatbelt approved to ECE Regulation 16 or equivalent standard. FMVSS213 approved.
Single Moms and Moms on a budget
With gas prices going up you may not be able to spring for the SUV or the minivan. I drive a Kia Optima and I have three children 5 and under. All of my children have to sit in either a car seat or a booster and yet all three can’t fit in the back. With the BubbleBum, my 4 year old weighing over 40 pounds can fit in the middle between my two babies in the backseat comfortably. I’m not risking the bank trying to buy a bigger vehicle since I really can’t afford to get a loan to buy another car. My car is paid off so rather than purchasing a bigger vehicle that may be a gas guzzler, I can still drive my sedan and keep the kids safe in the backseat.

I also liked how easy it was to take the BubbleBum to a family member or friend’s house if they plan on babysitting my daughter. All I had to do was quickly show them how it works and they have their own portable seat to use for the grandkids without having to store a large car seat in their own garage or home. The BubbleBum makes a great gift for grandparents that sometimes babysit and take the kids around.
