August has been a very hot month and not just the temperature. We’ve had so many special occasions among our family and friends that we celebrate in the month of August. August is the month that has the most birthdays in my family. I’m glad that Hallmark Value Cards was there every step of the way. Their creative card ideas are not just a great way to celebrate but it helps my children select cards that they love for the people that they love. This was a great way for my 4 year old to learn her letters, explore colors and have a great time in Walmart selecting cards with the help of #CollectiveBias. Here’s a summary of the events we celebrated this month along with Hallmark Value Cards.
Graduation/Pinning Ceremony
My best friend graduated nursing school this month from Texas Women’s University. I learned a lot about what a “pinning” ceremony is and it was a great experience and a fantastic accomplishment. The perfect Hallmark card we picked up up Walmart was a money envelope style. Perfect for any kind of graduate.

During the ceremony they recited the Florence Nightingale Pledge. They described how nursing was invented. Learning the origins of nursing was something that was so new to me.
Baby’s First Birthday
My best friend’s baby is turning 1 and nothing says Happy Birthday more than a first birthday party. That’s what makes selecting an extra special birthday card that much more important. It’s the FIRST birthday card that they will ever receive. Gianna is a beautiful baby girl that is growing up very fast. We celebrated with family and friends and of course lots of toys and cards.

To celebrate with a special card from Hallmark Value Cards, we selected something bright and pink that Gianna would enjoy.
There were also new babies born this month and I’m glad I stocked up on a lot of different greeting cards in order to be able to send money or gifts readily. Not only was this month special for the many events with family and friends but we also celebrated back to school. Sending greeting cards to teachers and to kids is a great way to have a beautiful send off for the start of the school year. I really enjoyed shopping for Hallmark #ValueCardsValue from Walmart and not only was the selection plentiful but they were inexpensive and always said the right words for the right occasion.
