Like most of the planet, Covid-19 shook the ground and changed the way that life and daily interactions look and feel. Some things that were ok just a few months ago are no longer acceptable and the status quo of seasons past is no longer the modus operandi for this blog, my business and my own personal world. Pair that with the growth of the last two years here at Dallas Single Mom {Parents}, we have seen an increase in the number of dads that are visiting and joining in as an active reading audience. Which is a blessing, absolutely awesome and wholly welcome.
It seems only fitting that we evolve with the changing seasons and shift accordingly.

I found myself with my kids and time. I found myself re-accessing how we educate our kids, what it means to be busy and what matters in my day to day. I also found myself craving hope, beauty and things to look forward to. I was also hungry for good news, uplifting stories of now and times past, fun experiences, creative outlets, and a vision of America that I could be proud of and share. As a result, I started asking around and turns out it was not just me looking for those things. I’ve been hunting, and unsurprisingly, what you seek is seeking you and if you look hard enough for some thing you will find it.

Slowly those changes crept into the platform that you see here at DallasSingleMom.com. You may have noticed little changes like more social, auto, home, travel and lifestyle content, a bit of advice and more community good. You also may have noticed an emphasis on creating lives we love right now. You’ll also notice more profiles of inspiring people and people with cool stories and good knowledge. You’ll notice a brighter layout and soon there will be more fun things, classes and experiences for you and the people you love to enjoy together and alone.

If I’ve learned anything {from 2020 and} this season of new normals, virtual learning, Covid shifts, cultural upheaval and staying safe at home while quarantining is that there is more that unites us than separates us, the road varies for everyone and that we can and should enjoy our days and finally that we must do good where and when we can.
