
Dallas County Health and Human Services officials announced that they plan to open a COVID-19 vaccine mega center at Fair Park during the week of January 11, 2021 as a part of Operation Warp Speed. Operation Warp Speed is a joint partnership between the federal government i.e. the Department of Defense and the US Private sector with a goal of delivering 300 million safe doses of vaccine to help combat the spread of the Novel Coronavirus by the end of January 2021.

While the vaccine is free to recipients, doses will only be given to those registered on the DCHHS waiting list and by appointment only.

Dallas County anticipates being able to vaccinate up to 2,000 people per day at the Fair Park campus as Texas works to open more large-scale hubs for vaccinations. Dallas County is also planning to offer an additional 1,000 vaccinations per day at the Ellis County Field House and at Eastfield College.
Currently {as of 1/7/21} Dallas County is vaccinating in Phase 1a but plans to launch Phase 1b when the Fair Park Mega Center opens next week.
