A Miami vacation is a way to really show your kids sensory sight and sound activities as well as introduce them to a terrific holiday experience. There’s simply so much in this Florida city for families to enjoy. If you decide to travel to Miami and have a real fun family time, here are a few of the things you should visit. The kids will no doubt be tugging on your leg, anyway, so you might have to explore!

Miami Seaquarium
For a chance to see a wide variety of marine life, the Miami Seaquarium is the place to go. Visitors can watch shows by dolphins, sea lions, and killer whales. Meanwhile, the many exhibition areas around the park provide the chance to see sharks, manatees, and a huge number of tropical fish. You even get the chance to get in the water for an encounter with a dolphin and make it a visit to remember. Boy, will the kids thank you for that!
Matheson Hammock Park Beach
No visit to Miami is complete without some time by the seaside and the Matheson Hammock Park Beach is an ideal choice for families. It features a man-made pool that is filled by the incoming tide each day to provide calm waters for swimming when the tide goes back out. The surrounding park has nature trails and plenty of open space to have a relaxing day.
Miami Museum of Science
A visit to the Miami Museum of Science is a way to take in three attractions in one location. The museum is home to a number of hands-on exhibitions that any kid will enjoy. There’s also the chance to watch shows at the Miami Planetarium, and at the Bird of Prey Center you can see eagles, owls, hawks, and other raptor bird species that are being rehabilitated for release back into the wild.
Jungle Island
This Miami interactive zoo has been welcoming visitors for almost 80 years now. It started out as Parrot Jungle, with shows put on with these colorful birds, but it’s popularity has exploded and now it hosts a variety of wildlife. You can take a safari tour around the park to get up close and personal with reptiles (if you’d want to!), lemurs, and monkeys. Bird shows are still one of the attractions at the park and there are shows with other animals too.
Double Threat Fishing Charters
Miami’s waterfronts are best known for surfing and swimming. But, for avid anglers, Miami can be a fishing haven. Many fish and ocean wildlife inhabit shallow waters throughout the year, making it perfect for anglers that prefer to fish from land. Places like Double Threat Fishing Charters have some of the best inshore fishing Miami has ever had. So, it should be on your to-do list when you’re visiting Miami.
A trip to Miami is a vacation that any family will enjoy. The only argument that will cause is narrowing down what to see and do, so splendid is the choice. If you try the attractions above, the kids will think you’re the coolest mom in the world, and in the world of street cred, that’s really something coming from a kid!
