Nov. 26, 2014 – BEDFORD, Texas — With 500,000 LED lights the folks at Daystar Television Network put on a fabulous free light display at the network’s international headquarters in Bedford, Texas. One of the most delightful displays without long longs is absolutely free. Each year during the Christmas season, Daystar strings up hundreds of thousands of bright white LED Christmas lights across the property – visible from state highway 121 to passersby, and this year’s display is better than ever before.
With over 500,000 pure white LED lights to light up the night, this is one display not to miss this Christmas season. Plus, the LED lights use only 1/10th the electricity of traditional incandescent Christmas lights, making this display not only cost effective, but environmentally friendly as well.
And most importantly, the lights serve as a visual reminder to the true meaning and reason for celebrating Christmas – the birth of Jesus, all those years ago in Bethlehem.
I’ve never experienced these lights up close but this year there is also a full, life-sized nativity scene directly in front of the building, complete with angels, shepherds, wise men, animals, and of course, Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus. If you happen to be Black Friday shopping at the Walmart next to the location, you should check this display out.
This 20-piece outdoor nativity scene features majestically crafted old-world style, life-size figures, depicting the scene of that first Christmas night many years ago in Bethlehem, when Jesus was born into the world. The figures were made using the highest-grade fiber-glass resin and innovative technology, making each statue incredibly durable – ensuring they retain their beauty for years to come.
