Celebrate the changing seasons with Hopdoddy. Thank you to the team at Hopdoddy for hosting us for this adventure to share with you. As always, our opinion is all our own.
We are always on the look out for fun places to go with the family or without. Places that are fun, easy and deliver delicious eats or are just plain family friendly. So when the team from Hopdoddy invited us to come see what was new, it was just the thing to usher Spring into our world.
Our nearest Hopdoddy is just about 20 minutes down the road in Uptown Dallas on McKinney. It’s the perfect spot to park in the garage, grab a yummy bite inside and then leisurely stroll or enjoy the the patio and people watching in West Village.
We’ve been to Hopdoddy before — especially when I get the craving for a good burger, hot fries and cold beer. You know the kind… hot toasty bun, seasoned beef with the little edges where the salt and pepper gets seared on, lots of pickles, mustard and melty cheese alternating bites with the salty goodness of freshly made fries. It’s the stuff of daydreams for me, and Hopdoddy does a great job it.
I also adore the fact that it is family-friendly. My kids usually like eating inside, and this time was no exception. After a friendly, yet contactless order experience, we posted up in a high top booth. I love the set-up inside because it is quiet enough for us to hear each other talk and plenty of space to enjoy all the finds.
This time I tried the seasonal Chicken Fajita Burger. It was messy goodness. A hot chicken patty seasoned with the same flavors that you find in your favorite fajitas. The smoky chile, the oozy guacamole inspired sauce on a hot toasted bun…. so, so good. The kids ordered their usuals – my Bigs, traditional burgers and the youngest went for the chicken tenders from the Children’s Menu. I checked out the seasonal offers from the tap, and it was served icy cold. Of course, we got the fries. The fries are the stuff of legend.
Hot, thin, crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside and tossed in the seasoning of your choice. Trust me, the Parmesan Truffle Fries are the bomb, that being said, I haven’t ran into anything from Hopdoddy that I don’t enjoy.
Between the chef inspired combinations, certified heritage beef and customizable choice of bun and toppings, you can’t go wrong. It passed the kid test and the me test. So good!
