The F-150 Lightning Theater will be powering a fun, family-friendly community event where people can relax, have fun and see the new movie one day before the film’s release.

We had the pleasure of chatting with Ford’s Dave Finnegan about the upcoming event and his excitement was contagious. He noted that “everyone is welcome. Bring the kids and festivities start at 6:00pm” Ford saw a unique parallel between Thor, the God of Thunder, and the F-150 Lighting—both being the strongest and most powerful of its kind. And not only will this event give Marvel fans a special viewing experience of the film. And that the “synergy between Thor and the Lightning” couldn’t be beat. No, there will not be any Lightning Easter Eggs in the movie, but Ford will be bringing the thunder and supercharging classic drive-in culture with an arcade, a giant marquee, a live local music, and numerous vendors that will all be fully powered by the F-150 Lightning’s Pro Power Onboard feature.
This will be the first of three drive-in experiences for the Texas community, with more events planned later this summer. Guests to this event will have the opportunity to snag classic drive-in inspired swag and even enter a giveaway for “Driver Kits” containing a Ford branded director’s chair, tote bag, an F-150 Lightning Theater poster, and even a projector.
