Making Choices for Me and Wellness

Health· Lifestyle· Living Well· Single Mom Life

Traditional New Year’s resolutions really bother me. Don’t eat sugar. Drink less wine. Cut back on carbs. I don’t like to restrict myself. Instead, I give myself permission – the opportunity to make smart choices and changes to my behavior that enhance my life.

Contemplating the new year and what comes next?

This year I’ve chosen one personal and one professional New Year’s resolution. I love that it’s short, sweet, realistic, and attainable. Personally, I’m going to up my wellness game.

To make sure I do, I’m keeping it simple. I’m going to stay hydrated, exercise, and try new things. The importance of staying hydrated is well-known. It plays a huge role in digestion, weight loss, and it’s super cleansing. Other benefits include the elimination of toxins, glowing skin, a healthier body and more energy.

Staying hydrated throughout the day is a challenge for me because plain old water is super boring. So, when a friend shared with me her secret to drinking lots of water, I was intrigued! Her secret weapon was Hint fruit-infused water.  Hint doesn’t contain unhealthy ingredients like so many other flavored beverages. Their water has no diet sweeteners, completely free of sugars and preservatives, and has zero calories.

The great thing is Hint comes in a whole bunch of flavors – Watermelon, Clementine, and Cherry, to name just a few. It’s delicious, but secretly between you and me, Blackberry is my favorite. Drinking Hint is the same as drinking plain water with just a hint of true fruit flavor! So “boring” never enters the picture . Hint makes it easy – and tasty to stay hydrated.

Hydration – 🗹

Now onto exercise! Gulp. This is where I always run into trouble. It’s so hard to tear myself away from Netflix-surfing on the couch. I don’t plan on returning to the gym for a while yet, but I can easily handle a daily walk. Walking is also good for my mental health. It provides the time and space to think things through, work things out, and focus on the positive.

Throw in using the stairs instead of the elevator for extra brownie points. And when I get home I’ll reward myself with a bottle of Blackberry Hint. Also, Hint has an awesome offer for new customers – 3 cases, which is 36 bottles, for only $1 per bottle. I can get all of this delivered straight to my door for free!

Exercise – 🗹

Too much screen time isn’t just bad for kids. I find it hard to concentrate and can even get a bit snippy with people if I’ve been indulging in too much screen time. All the blue light… So, I’m going to start a book club with a few friends. I can not wait! These days I spend most of my time online, between work, home and mom-school, so it’s good to take a step back and enjoy the non-digital world.

Screen Time – 🗹

Hint water makes me confident that I can stick to my New Year’s resolution to up my wellness game. Their new customer offer helped to put my 2021 wellness plan into motion. I’m saying yes to life, hydration, exercise, and trying new things. And yes to a happier, healthier, more balanced me.

Update: Customize your bundle of Hint waters today! Click this link to get 36 bottles for $36 PLUS free shipping!
