Iconic, off-road capable and fun-inducing, there’s a reason that the Ram 1500 TRX is one of the most award-winning trucks on the market today.
A Fan-Favorite
When this one rolled up for review, it was positively breathtaking. In the sense that there is something about a big body pick-up truck. It’s big, brash, unapologetically awesome and capable in the sexiest way possible.
In the case of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX even more so. I have never had neighbors and other drivers on stopped at stoplights come out and compliment a truck like this one, despite the rain. At first, I hadn’t quite figured out all the features, as I try not to taint my view before a drive, but then I got into it and realized what the hype was about.
It’s Fun.
Sounds simple, but in a world where there are pandemics and really sucky humans, fun is a prized commodity. There is speed, power, lift and pleasure. The interior is wrapped in soft leather in a variety of textures. With heating and cooling seats, a gorgeous sound system, space for all your people {and I have 3} and a camera system that will help you hitch your toys, yes, it almost begs you to add an extra quotient of fun into your day.
It’s Safe.
Part of the Stellantis family, the Ram 1500 is hooked up to the outright fabulous UConnect system. It allows for seamless connectivity between phone, tech devices and navigation.
It also creates a beautiful and cohesive safety system that brings driver assistance, spatial awareness and sensitivity to the human condition into play. I have to admit it is one of my favorite safety tech systems in the industry today.
Safe-enough to carry my most precious cargo, my children, I loved that this drive brought the fun and the safety coverage. From sound dampening to securing seating, it just added to the experience, quite literally this truck is a fun-loving people magnet, but it is also a place of sanctuary. I drove to my morning coffee and enjoyed quiet and peace of the space. I loved the way that the sound system, the body-cradling effect of the seating and the way that I felt above the world… for those reasons alone, it’s a brilliant reason to give this ride a double look.
The Price is Right
Often times with pretty features comes a rather pretty price {Ram 1500 Classic $32k} and the Ram 1500 TRX with the Crew Cab 4×4 bases right at $69K, this teched up, off-road ready and comfort-enhanced version is comes in at just over $89K.
