The Busy Mom’s Guide to Cleaning like a boss with Mean Green

Lifestyle· Living Well

Disclaimer: Heather over at Dallas Single Mom is a Mean Green Ambassador and is getting compensated to share this product with all of you. All opinions are her own. Please see disclosure policy for more info.

How do you do a Deep Cleaning when you 1) Don’t have time to clean and/or 2) Hate to clean?

Mean Green AmbassadorIf you want some simple answers and tips on how to speed clean your cleaning like a boss, then this is the blog post for you. Our friends at Mean Green  have provided Dallas Single Mom with a few complimentary cleaning products and have made us an ambassador (aka cleaning BOSS lady) for their products. Like most single or busy moms springtime means baseball or soccer games, spring food festivals, BBQs, spring brunches, and a multitude of activities that lure you away from the tasks of spring cleaning.

How many of you have not Deep cleaned your house in years? I hate to admit it but I am one of those people. A deep spring cleaning is essential to ensure that you air the house out, attend to things that are broken or need to be replaced and also a way to circulate the good juju or energy in your house. Yes this is also a time to declutter your space to either get rid of those things that no longer serve a purpose in your home, repurpose things or rekindle the romance with your stuff. If you have just divorced or had a major change in your life a good spring cleaning can really change the way you look at your living space and how you see life. Whenever I go through the stress of a major life change I have found being active, getting organized and cleaning was a healthy way to get rid of my home alone blues when the kids were at dad’s house for the weekend.

What is Mean Green?

Mean Green is actually the #1 Heavy Duty Cleaner in America. There’s a huge difference between a heavy duty cleaner and an all purpose cleaner. All purpose cleaners are the some of the store brands you may already be familiar with. What separates Mean Green from some of those other brands is that the other brands may not deliver heavy duty cleaning. Some of those other brands require pretreating for heavy stains and grease. If you live a life where the family is “All in” then you want a cleaner that can get the job done the first time. This is why Mean Green is great for busy moms that don’t have a lot of time to sit and wait for the cleaner to work for the second or third try. I’d prefer not to use up an entire bottle of cleaner to clean my stove top. Mean Green has also been a trusted brand for over 20 years and in independent lab tests Mean Green has beat out other brands for cleaning kitchen grease and grime, garage grease and grime, outdoor soils, used motor oil on clothes, and used motor oil on driveways.

Just say NO! to Pre-treating because as busy moms know “Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That!”

I don’t need to tell you, let me show you

Sometimes the best way to explain whether something works is to show you that it works. Here are a few pictures that show you how well Mean Green gets the job done.

Mean Green Before and After Photos

Mean Green 101 – Introduction

As an ambassador I received a few of the Mean Green line of products to try out this year to help with my cleaning. These are all Heavy Duty cleaning products that include the Auto & Garage Cleaner and Degreaser, the Mildew Destroyer, the Super Strength Cleaner and Degreaser and the Multi-purpose Orange Champ. These are not the only products of the Mean Green line you can use in your arsenal. They have a full array of products including wipes, anti bacterial cleaners and more for your household.

Mean Green

Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser – this cleaner is a powerful, multi-purpose cleaner and degreaser for heavy duty every day use. This cleaner can get grease out and eliminate grime from most surfaces. FIt is used to clean just about everything, inside and outside the home, business, garage, restaurant, work or hobby shop. This staple cleaner is something that you can keep in your cabinet under your kitchen sink or bathroom sink. It’s a product that should be kept easily in reach for every day messes. Available in Sizes: 16oz, 32oz, 40oz, 128oz

Mean Green Auto & Garage Degreaser – Mean Green® Auto & Garage is a concentrated, multi-purpose cleaner and degreaser. Proven to beat other brands on tough grease and grime. Specially formulated to remove and dissolve petroleum based grease, grime, and oil from engines, tools, and concrete, to outdoor furniture, grills, painted surfaces, and more. Available in Sizes: 40oz, 128oz

Mean Green Mildew Destroyer – This cleaner is your go to product for cleaning and disinfecting areas with mildew and soap scum like the bathroom, kitchen, patio and more. Mildew Destroyer is a bleach-based cleaner and disinfectant. It destroys what is growing in dark, damp spaces. It has been used to clean and disinfect areas which are common for mold, mildew, athlete’s foot, salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus (bacteria) and soap scum. Those spaces are showers, bathtubs, sinks, toilets, tile and grout, floors and garbage cans. Mildew Destroyer is also effective against Salmonella enterica and Staphylococcus aureus in 30 seconds. Available in Sizes: 16oz and 32oz I keep this product in the bathroom and it’s something you can use with a squeegee after you take a shower. A quick once over keeps soap scum and mildew at bay on shower doors and tile.

Mean Green Orange Champ – This orange smelling cleaner is also a multi-purpose cleaner. It can be used on multiple surfaces as a cleaner and degreaser with orange power. Orange Champ cuts through tough grease and grime leaving a fresh citrus aroma, a scent of clean. It gives a powerful clean that is safe on most washable surfaces throughout your family’s home. Available in Sizes: 16oz, 32oz, 40oz

What should you be deep cleaning this spring?

For a quick cleaning, preparation is essential. I say spring clean over the course of 30 days. Choose the month of April as a great month to start spring deep cleaning by doing a little every day until the month is over. I would suggest creating a plan to tackle rooms one week at a time over the course of four weeks. You can start with the bathrooms on the first week. For the first week focus on a thorough cleaning of toilets, sinks, showers, and tubs. Then tackle the bathroom cupboards, doors and drawers. Lastly tackle all the bath mats, rugs, window treatments and shower curtains. Follow this cleaning checklist from Clean Mama to organize your cleaning. You should tackle the entire house up to an including your outside windows, decks, patios and the garage. Here’s a great tip on tackling your grill.

Where can I find Mean Green products? You can actually find them at many local retailers near you such as Walmart, Family Dollar and more. Find a Store over at the Mean Green site. They have a list of their products and some great before and after pics.
