Summer Birthdays: 5 Gifts Kids Will Love

Summer means extra sun, playing in the water, and spending quality time with your loved ones and children. Life tends to slow down when the weather warms up, and it’s the best time to soak in the stillness. When it comes to a kid’s summer birthday, numerous gift ideas can encourage and support fun!

Remote-Controlled Vehicles

Sometimes getting the kids out of the house is difficult. Luckily, vitamin D is healthy, so it entices them to go out. An excellent way to draw kids outdoors and enjoy the time is by gifting them a remote-controlled vehicle with many unique features, like the Sky Rover helicopter. They can learn many developmental skills and use the open air to master their flight patterns.

An Experience

If gifts are not your thing, but experiences are, use that summer birthday to take the kids somewhere. If you have the means, allow them to bring one close friend and book an overnight in town, at a water park, or head to the nearest zoo. For many children, the memories they make are the highlight since they usually forget most of the gifts that they receive by the time they reach adulthood.

Ice Cream Social

There are many ways to have a birthday on a budget, and thankfully, having a small ice cream social can help beat the heat without breaking the bank. Gather a few friends at the house or your local park and let them run around and play. Consider a small buffet of ice cream flavors and a few toppings, and keep it simple.

If you’re worried about the ice cream melting, place the tubs in buckets of ice to help combat the heat.

DIY Birdhouse

The unique thing about a birdhouse is how quickly it can become an heirloom that kids will cherish for years to come. There are kits available online, or you can grab some scrap materials and build them together. This is an excellent opportunity for bonding and one-on-one time, and, ultimately, this memory will imprint itself forever.

Yard Games

Yard games are another great way to entice children to head outside for a little bit. It’s also an excellent way to encourage them to invite a few friends over for summer socialization. A downside to summer is the lack of interaction kids can have without school, so supporting this effort through activities is a great alternative.

A summer birthday is an opportunity to be creative and make memories. Your kids will love any gift you have to offer, whether it’s an experience or an intimate project.
