CELEBRATE THE ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE GIANTS OF THE SAVANNA! IT’S THE BIGGEST PARTY IN TOWN!
As part of the Dallas Culture and Events Examiner’s “Countdown to 15 Days till Memorial Day” segment, I will be featuring an event or cultural activity every day until Memorial Day weekend for all of you Dallasites and transplanted to Dallasites looking for a little fun in the sun before it gets to be over 100 degrees. What a great way to start off the summer season of 2011?
Join the Dallas Zoo in celebrating the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Giants of the Savanna exhibit on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, May 28, 29, and 30. Enjoy bounce houses, Keeper Encounters, SOAR, A Festival of Flight bird shows, and African drummers. The first 200 children each day will receive a commemorative Dallas Zoo coin. Make plans to attend the Zoo’s all-you-can-eat picnic on Sunday or Monday. Party with the giants at the biggest party of the weekend!
The all you can eat picnic will be on Sunday May 29th and Monday May 30th and is $10 per guest from 11 AM to 2 PM under the open seating! It will be an all you can eat classic American Cookout (Grilled on Location): Freshly Grilled 1/4 lb Hamburgers, Veggie Burgers, Jumbo Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Potato Chips, Asst Cheeses, Full Fixings Bar, Asst Soft Drinks, Lemonade, Iced Tea and Jumbo Cookies for Dessert!
