People believe that most babies are born in November, NOT TRUE! They say this because Valentine’s Day is in February and doing the math, 9 months later is November.
Maybe in another country, but in the US, most babies are born in September. I’m not sure where everyone is getting their facts from but considering I have had children in April, June and the end of August, I can believe that September, followed by August, June and July are busy times in labor and delivery.
When I gave birth to my youngest last year on August 17th, there were 15 other mothers in the hospital. It was busy and let me just say, getting a nurse to come to your room took forever because they were busy.
According to babycenter.com who got their figures from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) Vital Statistics area, it is pretty conclusive that the most babies are NOT born in November.
Can we now put this stupid statistic to rest? Unless of course if you live in China, then yes, November has the highest number of births which makes sense since the latter half of January and Beginning of February is usually Chinese New Year when most will celebrate and be happy and jovial in order to set the mark for the coming year.
