For those of us that are Christian, Easter is about celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. Easter is a holiday with both Christian meaning and Pagan symbols. As we see it today, Easter comes with it’s share of decorated Easter eggs, bunny rabbits and baskets. A visit to the Easter bunny at the mall for pictures, a new spring dress, and of course Easter egg hunts. So check out this list of awesome Easter activities at the last minute. 11 am – 2:00 pm
Hop up to the GeO-Deck for Easter fun on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31. Kids 12 and under can snap a photo with the Easter Bunny*, and experience strolling magic on the GeO-Deck and Cloud Nine Café with Diamond Jim Tyler! Be entertained as Diamond Jim Tyler performs a variety of interactive, sleight of hand and card tricks that’ll be sure to amaze, all activities included with purchase of a general admission ticket. The Easter Bunny will be on the GeO-Deck from 11 AM – 2 PM, and Diamond Jim Tyler will perform from 11 AM – 1 PM.
Fort Worth’s Stockyard Stations
It’s a Texas Sized Easter Egg hunt this Saturday, March 31 from noon to 4 pm.
Please check times below for the appropriate age groups, as the hunt will begin at different times for different ages.
High Noon
- On the West lawn of the Livestock Exchange Building Ages 6-8 years old.
- On the East lawn of the Livestock Exchange Building Ages 9-12 years old.
12:30 pm
- On the West lawn of the Livestock Exchange Building Ages 0-2 years old
- On the East lawn of the Livestock Exchange Building Ages 3-5 years old
12 pm to 4 pm
- Live music, photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, and the Legends of Texas inside Stockyards Station

The Easter Bunny checks out downtown Dallas
Plano – The Shops at Willow Bend (March 31 is the last day)- I would make a weekend of it and also check out The Crayola Experience. Get your photos with the Easter Bunny in the Grand Court affectionately renamed to Bunnyville where you get to explore a three dimensional Bunny town. Plano (March 31) – Egg Hunt at Heritage Farmstead Museum
The Heritage Farmstead Museum will feature Plano’s biggest historic Easter Egg Hunt. Children are invited to hunt for more than 5,000 eggs on the Museum’s Lawn and in the North Meadow. The Museum grounds will be sectioned off into age-appropriate areas so everyone, including toddlers, will have an opportunity to participate. Learn More Here.
Garland – Granger Rec Center at Central Park (March 29) – Hop on over to Central Park for a chance to hunt for colorful candy and toy filled eggs. There will even be a few special prize eggs with tickets for prizes. Activities include bounce houses, face painting, pictures with the Easter Bunny for a small fee, and snacks for sale. Dallas – Egg Hunt and Musical Performance at Cooper Fitness Center (March 31)
At 9:30 AM the family can enjoy a free egg hunt without also enjoying a children’s musical performance by Lizza Conner, a cardio dance workout, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting and more. Open to the public. Learn More Here.
Allen – Under the Sea Easter Adventure (March 31) – go Easter egg hunting underwater at the Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium. From 10 a.m to noon on Saturday, March 31 kids ages 1 to 12 can collect eggs in the pool. Some eggs will float and others will be weighted to fall to the bottom of the pool.
“We are one of the only recreation facilities in the DFW Metroplex to offer an underwater egg hunt,” said Steve Nagy,a Recreation Specialist at Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium. Mesh bags are being provided. Registrationwill be available on the day of the event until all spots are full. The cost to participate is $10 for both members and non members of the facility.
Irving – Easter Celebration (April 1) at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving
Bear Creek Community Church, Christ Church, and Irving Church are hosting the Irving Easter Celebration at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory. It’s a free event (including free parking), at a great venue, with great worship, and an Egg Hunt with 50,000 Easter Eggs for kids up through 5th Grade.
The doors open at 9:30am, Worship begins at 10:30am, and the Egg Hunts (divided up by ages) will begin at noon. Learn More Here
