Designed for the pure pleasure of driving, the Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium exceeds expectations.

Eye-catching even on a cloudy day, I first encountered this version of the Toyota Supra at the Texas Auto Round-Up at Texas Motor Speedway. Someone had taken it out on the track, and it was divine. Then I saw it again at Road America for MAMA Rally in Wisconsin, though this time in a radiant red, slung low with undeniable speed, it caught the light, and I knew I needed more time with it.
What You’ll Love:
It’s a sports car.

It’s not pretending to be anything else.
It’s designed to be magnificently fast, handle like a dream and remind you of the relationship between the driver and a well-made vehicle while reinforcing the pleasures of driving. The gas-powered, 3.0L inline 6-cylinder 8 speed automatic engine pretty much guarantees that you’ll have precise power and that decadent purr that delights and exhilarates and lives up to the name, Supra.
Drawn from the root word meaning to surpass and excel, the GR Supra combines the very best of elements needed to excel on the track and bring an extra element of fun and delight to your daily drive. The low profile that beckons you closer. The 19-inch forged aluminum wheels and a wide base signal the fantastic drive that is ahead. Adaptive variable suspension scans the road hundreds of times per second allowing the vehicle to adapt to the road and conditions within milliseconds. Durable Brembo brakes let you stop gracefully and power-adjustable sport seats cradle and support your body while letting you find the perfect driving position for you. Add that to the smart entry and key system that unlocks when you get close, you’ll never search your bag for your keys again. Combine these features with years of legacy heritage creating vehicles that last and deliver comfort, it is no surprise that the GR Supra has a cult following.
Answering Reader Questions from Social Media:
How much trunk space is there?
The trunk is petite. Your groceries will fit, but probably not all the things that you would pick up in a big Target run. Think necessities and a few nice-to-haves. It’ll fit your picnic basket, blanket and boots. If you’ve got lots of gear to haul or want to take a massive suitcase anywhere, it’s not going to fit, though I did manage to fit a large tote, snacks, a carry-on, coat and a backpack in the truck.

What’s the gas like in it?
As a gas-powered performance vehicle, it averaged a surprising 25-26mpg on the streets of Dallas. If you spend more time on the highway than we did, expect to get a little bit better mileage.
Does it connect to Apple CarPlay? Is there a wireless charger?
Yes, the GR Supra is Apple CarPlay compatible, and yes, the sound system is on-point, enhanced with a pretty awesome JBL Audio System. Using Supra Connect and Supra Command, the enhanced tech suite that supports the Supra, you’ll be able to access your favorite ios apps and music from the 8.8” infotainment system. You’ll have access to the integrated navigation system with real-time traffic information and automatic emergency calling. You’ll also stay charged with the wireless charger and keep your eyes on the road with the full color heads-up display that neatly conveys the relevant information that you need for driving and safety.

Craving Track Time?
Toyota knows it’s audience, and gives a year membership to NASA, the National Auto Sport Association, with the purchase of the GR Supra. That membership gives you a day at the track and one-on-one training with a NASA coach and driver.
